Trade Secret - Intellectual Property Law

A trade secret is confidential business information which provides a competitive advantage to someone's commercial venture.

A trade secret can include sale and distribution methods, advertising strategies, lists of suppliers, client and consumer information, manufacturing processes and plans for expansion into an industry. However, a final determination of what information constitutes a trade secret will depend on the circumstances of each individual case.
